[Clayart] Time for going to 10

Mel-san and others,

Recently I read someone say that in a gas fueled kiln it took took twice as
long to fire to cone 10 as it took to fire to cone 6.

Given that cone 10 is only about 250 degrees F, or 11% higher than cone 6
the author's statement seems questionable to me.

So, I'm asking those with experience in firing well tuned gas kilns, under
low to moderate reduction how much longer does it take to get to 10 vs 6?
