[Clayart] adding silicon carbide to clay

Hello ,

carborundum was manufactured here in Shawinigan, Quebec 
for years and the furnaces operated at 4,000 C.
So, it will not be easy to melt it if you think glazes. If think clays,
heat in our ceramics ranges wont change anything, 
My humble opinion, never having this material
