[Clayart] glaze timing

while in japan, mr. uchida had us use a large old
clock with the min/hour hands removed.
we just had the second hand.

we had actual seconds listed for how long a pot was in the
glaze bucket.  it was very precise.
so, thickness, measured time in glaze, and then careful 
clean up and drying.  all essential if you are doing a 
thousand pots by hand.

it is rather easy actually.  and, it makes sense.
and the big dippers we used to pour glaze are wonderful.
i made many of them since coming back to minnetonka. a stick
with a measuring cup attached. even two cup measures.
and, they are great for stirring the glaze between dips.
