[Clayart] Wollastonite/hardening clay bodies

From my own general reading on silicate chemistry, Wollastonite is water
soluble, and is used in forestry as a way to lower acidity of soils and
ground water.  The solubility  is rather low and is sensitive to
temperature, and other variables;  the mineral recrystallizes when the
solution is saturated.  It is one of the components formed when concrete
begins curing [according a family member that researches concrete for a
living].

If Wollastonite works for you, then keep using it.  If you are scratching
an exploring itch, stay alert and be careful while having fun.
