Think about when you blow across the mouth of a pop bottle and it makes a noise.  The placement of the blow tube outlet should be set to just cut across the inlet tube. 

Also play with the viscosity of the glaze.  Too thin or too thick.  It make a difference.

I will take another look at them, make sure they are clean and check the outlet placements. Wish I knew just how they should be placed before fiddling but since they aren’t working , I guess I don’t have much to loose.
