Wednesday, I gave the ‘intro to clay’ lecture, with the diagrams of how rock weathers, is broken down, transported, and deposited, picking up crap along the way. “Ball clay is mined in Kentucky…what else gets mined in Kentucky?” Smart bunch this semester…about four shouted, “Coal!” (...and one shouted, “ Whisky!”)
