Looking for the perfect clay that is a terra cotta color and can withstand the outside elects of the PNW. Any Ideas?Lu On Friday, August 24, 2018, 10:07:44 AM PDT, <ronroy at ca.inter.net> wrote:
Not sure what David is asking about but - Epson salts seems to go on
working forever, Not true of vinegar however. You can expect copious
amounts of mold over time - nobody I know could stand the smell.
2 lb in 1000 lb of dry mix is more than enough - that 0.2 lb for 100
dry. If you over supply the salts you get the opposite effect - like
beck to deflocced.
It's great for getting glazes suspended but don't over supply. Add
drops, stir and wait to see if that's enough. Keep track of the drops
so you have some idea of how much to add next time.
Make a solution - 2 or 3 table spoons of salts in a cup of water -
boil or microwave till all dissolved. Put in cap-able squeeze bottle -
it will last forever.
