At a studio in eastern PA they had a glaze they called Amber Celadon. It
was pretty nice, however the name really didn’t capture the nuance of the
glaze. Very glossy, honey yellow where thin but nearly black where
thicker. To me it looked like the fired piece had been dipped in 90 wt
gear oil and frozen. “Gear Grease” doesn’t seem like an appropriate name.
