I know I am coming in late on kiln wash.

I use Lee’s Kiln Wash from Axner. It is amazing. Going on new shelves, Lee’s does not flake off. I can easily coat both sides of a shelf with no problems.

The only drawback to Lee’s. Used shelves with another kiln wash, make sure you remove the “other wash.” If you try to put Lee’s over any other wash, it will flake and peel badly.
