[Clayart] itc coils

coils are coated with itc metal coating material.
a very thin coating is required.

i use a black plastic bag.  clean the coils with soap and water.
rinse.  get grease off etc. then coil them in rather big loops, with
twist ties.  add about an 1/8th cup of itc to the bag, then the coils
and tip and roll (sort of shake and bake).   using plastic gloves
hang the coils to dry.  install keeping the plastic gloves on.
pour what is left from the bag back into the itc container.

fire for half hour, it burns off smoke.

some people add the itc with a soft brush and sort of rub it down
with a soft cloth.

I have on several occasions sprayed a thin coat of itc one hundred over
the kiln and coils.  seems to work fine.
