[Clayart] Would this work?

Hi Ken,
Unless painted and moisture proofed, Wood itself is absorbent and yes it would slow the drying, but Bill Schran and Kathy Foyer each offered easy to implement solutions in their posts.
They offered good companion solutions in suggesting a "Lidded plastic container" and an "oil medium that is slower drying."

(XX) Perhaps you could economically employ a drying retardant as well. But........
Of course, then you would likely have to adjust your working methods as well.

(XX) My Muse sez ignore Woof's idea and go with Bill and Kathy. They have it going on!!!

Misneach,

David Woof............................................................................................................................

Subject: [Clayart] Would this work?

I live in the desert and my oil paint drys fast. If I constructed a lid using 1 inch wood for the frame and 1/4 inch ply to enclose the frame and sized it to fit over my glass palette would it keep my paint useable the following day or two?
Thanks
