[Clayart] Hunting for diamonds

the famous American potter Nils Lou was a dear friend.
He called me about 30 years ago and said, "there is a thing
on the internet called "clayart". Interesting, you should
try it." I said what is it..."Chatgroup"? No, he said, it is
"hunting for diamonds"....what do you mean? 'You read through
quickly and try to find a new idea, something that stops you
in your tracks".

If potters and clay artists would only look at clayart as
"DIAMOND HUNTING" THEY WOULD FIND IT VERY HELPFUL.
And when that day comes like Kathy Forer just asked about plastic,
she may have found a bag of diamonds.

As I have said many times on clayart. "if you use social medium
to spout your "truth" at everyone, you just lost half of your customer
base. And, maybe half of your friends.

fACEBOOK may be the best free advertising program around. I never "bark at the moon"
on facebook. I show pots, add love and attention to many old students and friends.
I keep 99 percent of my customer base. All are welcome to my sales. we do not see
color, gender, or race or religion. I am blind to that. My pots get good homes, no matter
what the "truth" is.
