Definitely agree it's ceramic (but so, technically, is glass). I was imagining David might complain that anything that contained 40% bone ash, stretched the definition of pottery/clay!

Certainly ceramic, even if not formed from plastic clay. Egyptian paste is also possibly ’not clay’, but it is ceramic by any reasonable definition.
